J2KVideo’s SVC-7 series; multi-MegaPixel video cameras are designed specifically for demanding applications in professional video recording, high security, military, scientific research and industrial process monitoring. The SharpView SVC-7 series are available in 8 MegaPixel and 11 MegaPixel resolutions. Utilising the latest in multi-megapixel progressive scan sensor technology and advanced hardware digital compression, J2KV’s SharpView cameras provide unrivaled image sharpness and quality and the fastest image capture for given pixel densities in the industry.

Ultra high resolution pictures delivered at high image rates can effectively replace 50 standard TV cameras (based on SharpView model SVC-7X11M). So with the use of a wide angle lens, a suitably placed SharpView camera can eliminate the need for expensive PTZ mechanisms and continual operator control in for example town centre security applications.
SharpView SVC-7 series include variable image capture to allow the user to select priority for either image quality (resolution) or image rates. Aspect ratio can be configured to meet the requirements of the area under surveillance. Panoramic wide-screen views allow for optimum coverage of large sites.

The image sensors used in the SVC-7 series provide photographic quality video images with greater pixel depth (30-bit RGB) and high dynamic range signal to noise ratio than rival cameras.
Video is output across 100Mbps Fast Ethernet interface with a choice of motion-JPEG or JPEG2000 compressed images.
RJ45 socket is provided as standard. Transmission over 75 ohm coaxial cable via BNC connector is available on request. Advanced features include motion detection with configurable sensitivity in multiple zones, privacy masking, on-board pre-record functionality, DC-iris control, colour day/night mode and optional monochrome sensor for superb night vision.

SharpView SVC-7 series cameras are housed in IP67 enclosures which are made entirely from AISI136L stainless steel. Supplied with tempered glass window and removable sunshield, SVC-7 series cameras can withstand the harshest of environments including all forms of precipitation (rain, snow, ice) and corrosive atmospheric conditions containing dust, dirt, industrial chemicals, acids and salt spray.
